Caroline Gohlke is a filmmaker from Detroit, MI  based in New York. Her work focuses on how people try to make sense of intimacy and connection in environments that resist clear understanding. She developed her recent work through NYU Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Film Program.

She is a TSOA Scholar and recipient of the Steven J. Ross Fellowship. Her short film Rapids received the Black Family Film Prize and was a finalist for the NYU Tisch King Awards. She is also a recipient of the Spike Lee Film Production Fund for her upcoming short Soft Pavement, and is currently developing her debut feature, Imaginary Lines.
